Registered nurses work in hospitals, physicians’ offices, home healthcare services, and nursing care facilities. Others work in outpatient clinics and schools, or serve in the military.  Opportunities also exist in Correctional Facilities or as flight or transport nurses caring for patients being airlifted to hospitals.  With further training, registered nurses can work as forensic nurses, collecting medical evidence and providing support for victims.  New opportunities are constantly being developed as the profession grows and changes.
