Application Procedures

Deadlines: Spring 2018  Fall 2018 
Deaf Education Not accepted June 1, 2018
Speech-Language Pathology NOVEMBER 1, 2017  March 1, 2018


*Mailed applications are accepted if post-marked by the deadline. 

For international students: For consideration for admission, CSDS requires a minimum TOEFL Total score of 100.

To apply for graduate study in the Department of CSDS, you need to complete the following 2 steps:

1. Apply to the University

1. Submit your application online via CSU Apply.
2. Submit one copy of official transcript from your Bachelors-degree awarding university, and any post-baccalaureate coursework to the university. Information about submitting your transcripts to the university can be found on the Transcripts Requirement page.
3. Submit one copy of GRE scores to Fresno State Graduate Admissions. The school code is 4312. (These scores will go directly to the university and not the Communicative Sciences and Deaf Studies Department.) For more information about the GRE, please visit their homepage at http://www.ets.org/gre.

2. Apply to the Department- *Read ALL steps carefully*

After applying to the university you will be directed to the department application forms. Send a single envelope with a completed packet that includes:

1a. Department application.

2a. Three letters of recommendation addressed to the department (each in a sealed envelope signed by the person writing the recommendation over the seal)

3a. Letter of intent addressed to the department. (No word or page limit) 

 **You may mail or hand deliver your completed packet to the office.**

To access your Student Portfolio you will need to establish a free Fresno State email account. Within five days of receiving your confirmation email, you should apply for a free email account at:http://my.csufresno.edu. Click the link below the log-in box that says "get an account now" to obtain your free Fresno State email account, using your student ID number listed at the top of the "Letter of Acknowledgement" email. If you do not have Internet access at home, most schools have computers for student use and free Internet access is also available at public libraries
