Cassandra L. Joubert, ScD
Dr. Cassandra Joubert is the Director of the Central California Children's Institute. She received the Doctor of Science degree in maternal and child health from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health, and the Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and child development from Howard University. Prior to joining Fresno State, she served as Vice President at the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan in Detroit where she oversaw the Foundation's $48 million grantmaking program.
Cassandra has also held senior positions with the Ruth Mott Foundation and the Michigan Office of Minority Health, as well as academic positions at the University of Oklahoma, College of Public Health and the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Public Health, and the principal author of a book on children's mental health. She has served on a number of nonprofit boards focusing on children's issues, and has been an advocate for children throughout her career.Cassandra L. Joubert, Sc.D.

Wendy Davis, A.S.
Wendy Davis is the training coordinator at the Central California Children's Institute. She earned her Associate of Science Degree in June of 1997 in Business Administration, graduating with a dean's list award for maintaining a 3.7 GPA.
Wendy's job consists of assisting with program activities and administrative duties. Wendy is currently attending college and working towards a bachelors degree in psychology. She hopes to continue on with her masters in psychology thereafter.
Wendy has over 15 years of experience working in the administrative field in areas such as scheduling and arranging appointments and meetings, event planning and logistics and being an available resource to faculty, staff, students, and the public who are seeking additional information.Wendy Davis

Soua Xiong, M.S.
Soua Xiong is the Research Assistant of the Central California Children's Institute. He provides data management for projects that support the well-being of children and families in the Central Valley, conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and assist with preparation of reports and presentations. He is currently involved with the Foundations of Infant Mental Health Training Program, a regional training program for practitioners who work with birth-5 years old and their families. He has also been involved with the data improvement for Southeast Asian youth project that underscored the need for disaggregated data that will help us to better understand disparities in the Asian American community. He received his Master of Science in Counseling and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fresno. He has been recognized as a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, a Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholar, and a California Graduate Equity Fellow. His previous research experiences includes examining multicultural counseling issues and the educational experiences of underrepresented students in higher education.
