Research & Grants

The Interdisciplinary Development Extramural Associate (IDEA) award from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development provides funding to support faculty incentive program proposals submitted by research teams of interdisciplinary faculty and students. Beginning 2009-10 through 2012-13 there is $40,000 in funding available per year for faculty research related opportunities.

Those interested in submitting a faculty incentive program proposal are encouraged to attend the 2011/2012 series of EARDA Grant Workshops which will focus on assisting faculty in applying for the faculty incentive programs with the purpose of helping to prepare faculty to build research capacity through the development of research problem identification, working groups, planning, and grant writing development.
