Would you like to be a Chemistry or Physics Teacher? If so, we have the program for you!

If you have a four year degree in any major . . . we have a 10-month program - ChemTeach - that will help you to meet the chemistry or the physics competency requirement for a credential to teach!* As you likely know, there is an acute shortage of these science teachers. The program consists of 10 months of home study plus semi-monthly Saturday labs. You’ll be prepared to take the CSET-Chemistry or CSET-Physics next spring.

The cost of your books and materials will be covered by the MSTI. University course credit ($60/unit) is available.

ChemTeach is supported by the Mathematics and Science Teacher Initiative (MSTI) and the Science and Mathematics Education Center (SMEC) at California State University, Fresno.
