Master of Arts in Reading – Online

As a teacher, you know that reading skills are a fundamental part of your students’ success in the classroom. Without good reading skills, students will struggle in all of their coursework—math, science, social studies, and even the arts.

That’s why teaching reading is such a rewarding occupation—it shapes the life of a student because no matter what their future occupation, each student will read something, every day of their life.

A Master of Arts in Reading provides you with the skills to become a better reading teacher and the online format means you can study and complete your degree in five semesters without having to sit in a classroom.

The Reading Program at California State University, Fresno is a national leader in many areas in reading instruction. Our award-winning, nationally recognized faculty publish in the top journals and write best-selling textbooks in the field of reading. Also, Fresno State is the home site for the Renaissance Group, a consortium of 20 middle-sized universities whose mission is to improve teacher education at regional universities.

The Master of Arts in Reading online program includes videos of classroom scenarios, wikis, blogs, and research about effective reading and writing instruction. You will be able to see the professor right on your computer and hear their passionate presentations; you won’t miss a thing.

Enrollment is open for fall, spring and summer. For more information and application please visit:http://mastersinreading.com or contact:
