Courses for Causes - Essential Workers - REGISTRATION CLOSED
Free online courses available for essential workers!
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Fresno State and Continuing and Global Education are now offering free online courses to our amazing essential workers in the community! The offer applies to all essential workers for the following courses:
Functional Spanish
Functional Spanish for Emergency Medical Responders is for non-Spanish Speaking Responders who work in areas with sizable Spanish speaking populations, such as the Central Valley.
Project Management for the Workplace
This course is intended as an introduction to project management for the person who needs the skills but does not have the time or need for PMP certification.
How do I sign up for a free course? Essential workers can choose to take any of these online courses for free by selecting from the above course offerings. Once you've navigated to a course page, please click on the blue "ESSENTIAL WORKERS REGISTRATION" button to submit your registration/enrollment information. Once you submit your registration/enrollment information, our office will then follow up with you to either collect additional information or confirm your registration/enrollment.
Who is eligible? Essential workers such as grocery store employees, food service providers or janitorial staff, certified or licensed healthcare professionals, or first responders such as EMT, paramedic, police, fire, correctional or probation officers. Other essential workers may be considered as well. All registration information will be reviewed and verified by a committee before enrollment.
What if I already paid? Currently enrolled essential workers that may have already paid for and registered in these courses before this offer was made can contact Rose Rosales at rose14@csufresno.edu about receiving a refund while remaining enrolled.
