How to Avoid Verbal Conflict

conflict This course is designed for anyone who wishes to improve their conversation dialogue process in order to eliminate misunderstanding in the workplace, home, or social environment. The dialogue process requires an understanding and attention to the following: non-verbal language, congruence, truth and trustworthiness, communication blocks, open-ended questions, active listening and feedback. It is similar to the one taught to professional salespeople but for a different reason. This process is to discover the mindset, interests and values of the other person, but without misunderstanding and erroneous assumptions.

This workshop is an easy to follow two-step guide to eliminating the possibility of conflict in conversation by avoiding misunderstandings and erroneous assumptions.

As stated by William Ury, co-author of Getting to Yes, this is a lesson on “how to get what we want while satisfying the needs and concerns of others.”
