Legal Interpreting 101
Prerequisite: Passing entrance exam
This class will cover the fundamentals of court interpreting, process and procedures of criminal law, legal terminology, ethical principles and standards and the different modes of interpreting (simultaneous, consecutive and sight translation.)

Instructor: Ana Meyer is a graduate of California State University, Fresno with a double major in Spanish and Mass Communications. She has been working as a professional interpreter for the last seven to ten years and is experienced with criminal law, administrative hearings, and medical interpreting. She is a Certified Healthcare Interpreter and currently works at Children’s Hospital of Central California.
Preregistration recommended by June 14.
