Using Presentation Tools in the Classroom

Preregistration recommended by July 21.

Expand your teaching skills by learning how to use many types of classroom presentation equipment in a fun and exciting workshop.

Course topics include:

  • what students expect and want from your class
  • making your overheads dazzle with skill and ingenuity
  • when and how to use handouts
  • e-books and speech compression
  • different classroom techniques
  • what to do with posters
  • how to pace class
  • flip chart techniques
  • computer projection techniques
  • various techniques for using videotapes

This class is particularly non-threatening because the instructor demonstrates the skills and techniques. You will not be required to make any presentations in class, although extensive class discussion and analysis is encouraged and is a critical part of the learning process.
