- American Humanics Certificate Program
American Humanics (AH) is a certificate program offering Fresno State students specialized training in nonprofit management. The AH program works with hundreds of nonprofit agencies in the region to prepare students and community members to strengthen and lead nonprofit organizations.
- AmeriCorps
AmeriCorps is a program providing its members with opportunities to serve through a network of partnerships with local and national nonprofit groups. Amer Corps members address critical needs in communities across the country. Service opportunities range from tutoring underprivileged children and fighting illiteracy, to improving health services and cleaning parks and streams.
- California Campus Compact
The mission of California Campus Compact is to build the collective commitment and capacity of colleges, universities and communities to advance civic and community engagement for a healthy, just, and democratic society.
- The California State University Center for Community Engagement
The CSU Chancellor's Office Center for Community Engagement promotes the collaboration between higher education institutions and their larger communities (local, regional/state, national, global) for the mutually beneficial exchange and production of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and reciprocity.
- Community Service Scholarship Program and Scholars Service Grant Program
These programs are available to fund students who serve with participating nonprofit agencies, schools or government organizations served by Fresno State. Students can earn between $750 - $1,500.

- HandsOn Central California
HandsOn Central California, formerly the Volunteer Center of Fresno County, connects people who want to help with places or issues that their time, talent and interests can be effectively utilized.
- National Campus Compact
Campus Compact is a national coalition of more than 1,100 college and university presidents - representing some 6 million students - dedicated to promoting community service, civic engagement, and service-learning in higher education. Campus Compact’s initiatives help campuses deepen their engaged work by providing replicable models, training, advocacy, and resources designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of service, service-learning, and civic engagement programs.
- National Service-Learning Clearinghouse Project
The National Service-Learning Clearinghouse (NSLC) supports the service-learning community in higher education, kindergarten through grade twelve, community-based initiatives and tribal programs, as well as all others interested in strengthening schools and communities using service-learning techniques and methodologies.
- The Peace Corps
Since 1961, the Peace Corps has shared with the world America's most precious resource – its people. Peace Corps Volunteers serve in 74 countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, and the Middle East. Collaborating with local community members, Volunteers work in areas like education, youth outreach and community development, the environment, and information technology.
- Volunteers In Service To America (VISTA)
AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. VISTA members commit to serve full-time for one year at a nonprofit organization or local government agency, working to fight illiteracy, improve health services, create businesses, strengthen community groups, and much more.
