Introduction to the appreciation, comprehension, and analysis of a language
developed in a visual/gestural mode. American Sign Language, its cultural/historical

Further appreciation, comprehension, and analysis of the uniqueness of a

the lexicon of American Sign Language related to its historical, artistic,

Prerequisites: CDDS 91, 92, 123. Full development of receptive/expressive
conversational skills in a culturally appropriate and participatory fashion
