###### DS 189T. Quantitative Analysis Support

This course will be a multi-modal stretch course utilizing ALEKS in an interactive online environment, supported by a two-hour lab session. The majority of scheduled lab meetings will have optional attendance, as all course materials and structured activities will be available remotely, thereby giving students the option of completing the course independently, essentially as an online course. Alternatively, they have the option of coming in weekly for a more traditional classroom experience. Supplementing the use of ALEKS, there will be additional online resources including of a library of instructional videos and text-based solutions to exemplary problems. (Offered Spring 2019)

Prerequisite: DS 123 or consent of the instructor. This course will cover advanced features of Spreadsheet (Excel) that can be applied in any data analysis. The course will also introduce tools and applications of visualization and dashboard, while building pragmatic solutions to common business problems. This course will follow a problem-solution format to explore data analysis options and cover best-practices for delivering solutions.
