How we can help you with your writing:

Understand your assignment What are you being asked to do?

Get started We can brainstorm with you, generate lots of possibilities, and start writing.

Make changes Have writing done? Bring it in. Our tutors are trained to ask questions and look at structure in ways that will help you see what you've got so you can make choices about what to add, cut, or move around.

Help you correct errors Worried about your grammar, punctuation, and formatting? Come on in. We won't go through your paper with a red pen. We'll look for patterns. You may have 20 mistakes and 15 of them are the same mistake over and over. We'll show you that, explain the rule, do some practice, and you'll be better prepared to self-correct that error in the future.

Small Writing Groups

If you have questions or need help enrolling in our small writing groups (Engl 1L, Eng 2), join our Virtual Office Zoom call between 9:00AM and 4:00PM Monday through Thursday, or on Fridays 10:00AM to 2:00PM:

Our small Zoom writing groups meet twice a week for the whole semester.  You will work with two other students and a tutor.  These groups are meant to help you with writing assignments from any class, but this semester they may be even more helpful to you in becoming familiar with Zoom, online learning, and just meeting and getting to know other students in a small comfortable setting. More info here.
