Cheng Lok Chua

Chen Lok ChuaDr. Cheng Lok Chua earned his B.A. from Depauw, his Ph.D. from Connecticut, and matriculated at the University of Malaya. He attended Université de Strasbourg, and was a post-doctoral Fellow at Yale University.

His other teaching experience includes: in English departments at the University of Michigan, National University of Singapore, Moorhead State University (Minnesota), and in Asian-American Studies Programs at UC Santa Barbara and UC Berkeley.

Dr. Chua co-edited Tilting the Continent: Southeast Asian American Writing. His interests include modern world literature, ethnic American literature, Andre Malraux, and D.H. Lawrence.

Dr. Cheng Lok Chua has been with the English Department since 1986.
