Cheng Lok Chua
Dr. Cheng Lok Chua earned his
B.A. from Depauw, his Ph.D. from Connecticut, and matriculated at
the University of Malaya. He attended Université de
Strasbourg, and was a post-doctoral Fellow at Yale University.
His other teaching experience includes: in English departments at the University of Michigan, National University of Singapore, Moorhead State University (Minnesota), and in Asian-American Studies Programs at UC Santa Barbara and UC Berkeley.
Dr. Chua co-edited Tilting the Continent: Southeast Asian American Writing. His interests include modern world literature, ethnic American literature, Andre Malraux, and D.H. Lawrence.
Dr. Cheng Lok Chua has been with the English Department since 1986.
