POSITION FROZEN
The CSU Fresno Department of Communication regrets to announce
that the Director of Debate position has been subjected to a hiring
freeze for the 2008-09 academic year and we will not be able to go
forward with our search this year. The hiring freeze is due to
changing circumstances in the state budget and it is not a
reflection on the credentials of candidates who have applied.
The Communication Department remains strongly committed to
reestablishing a strong policy debate program. We will continue to
work on building the foundation for a strong program, including
fundraising efforts to establish additional funding sources for the
team.
We will notify the policy debate community through
appropriate channels when the position is unfrozen and we are
allowed to go forward with a search. Anyone interested in the
