Mission: The Center for Creativity and the Arts (CCA) at California State University, Fresno is a shared intellectual and imaginative space—a vehicle for public engagement with the arts. As the hub of an interdisciplinary endeavor designed to link theory to practice, it inspires innovation, inquiry, collaboration, and dialogue across disciplines, cultures, industries, and global perspectives.
Vision: The Center for Creativity and the Arts at California State University, Fresno advances the capacity of creativity to inspire intellectual debate and engagement. Serving a diverse university and regional community, the Center promotes inclusion through innovative art exhibitions, university-wide programming and curricula, and community events. Recognizing that artists contribute to and transform the intellectual life of the University and the Central Valley, the Center serves as a catalyst for open, dynamic discussion of community-relevant topics that are illuminated by artistic programming.
CCA is an arts center like no other. At its core, CCA is host to an annual theme and a multitude of creative events focused around that theme.
With its programming, CCA strives to demonstrate the relevance of the arts to contemporary society, addressing "Why Art Matters."

Who’s invited?
Everyone!
Programming is planned with local, regional, national, and international audience members in mind. CCA desires to be an arts center for the residents of and visitors to the San Joaquin Valley, addressing the issues that our communities care about the most—in creative ways.
Because CCA is hosted by Fresno State, it will be a hub for scholarly dialogue. No background in the arts is required.
Essentially, CCA is an institution to bridge people, disciplines, and ideas together through art.
CCA's Faculty Coordinators and Staff is a cross-disciplinary group from many departments across the campus, from arts to sciences.
