Dan Nadaner is a painter, video artist and art educator.  He received the A.B. degree from Harvard College.  He continued the study of painting at the California College of Arts and Crafts, and received the M.F.A. in painting from the University of California, Berkeley.  He earned the Ph.D. in Education from Stanford University.

He has exhibited his paintings widely in California and has been Artist-in-Residence in Yosemite.  His work in video art has been exhibited in New York, France and Argentina.

His work in video art deals with events of consciousness, dream, memory, presence, change and absence.   He has lectured on his work internationally and has published numerous articles on art education and art theory. He is the co-editor, with Kieran Egan, of the book Imagination and Education.
