Top Dog Alumni Awards Gala - Open Call for Nominations
It is once again time to begin the nomination process for our annual Top Dog Alumni Awards Gala that is traditionally held during Homecoming week each fall. We are currently looking for individuals who fit the Distinguished Alumni, Outstanding Alumni and Arthur Safstrom Service Award criteria. Nomination forms are available online at fresnostatealumni.com. You will also find the past recipient list and guidelines for granting the awards here.

Joel Beery
 (2008) painted a picture of Fresno State ILB Jeremiah Toma (#32) that was featured on the cover of the 2014 Book of Lists, a supplement of "The Business Journal."

(1987) is an account executive for KVVU FOX5 in Las Vegas, Nev. Back in the day, she was formerly with KMPH FOX 26 in Fresno, Calif. 



Kerri Donis (1991) has been named chief of the Fresno Fire Department. In 2008, she was presented a Top Dog Alumna Award on behalf of the Department of Athletics by the Fresno State Alumni Association. Donis is an 18-year veteran of the department and the first woman to hold the position.

 (2012) is the ABC affiliate in Spokane, Wash. She previously worked at “The Collegian” and shot the coaches films for Pat Hill.





Janice Noga
 (1968, ’80) takes her one-woman show, “Janka,” written by her husband, Oscar Speace (1971) to the Sydney Jewish Museum in Australia for performances on Feb. 11th and 16th. Break a leg!





Sara Remus
 (Student) and Cody Scheidt(Student) are the founders of Hungry Dog Delivery, a service that provides food delivery from local restaurants to students. More Read more





Adam Sanchez
 (1990) was elected mayor of Desert Hot Springs last November, defeating incumbent Mayor Yvonne Parks by 12 votes. He was first elected to the council in 2011.





Thomas Weil 
(Alumnus) is the vice president and a financial advisor ad RBC Wealth Management, located in Fresno, Calif. 






Jason Wood
 (Alumnus) is the manager of Double-A Frisco, Texas. At Fresno State, Wood hit .343 in 1991 and was a third-team All-American winning the Big West title and earned a College World Series berth. More Read more
