THE BULLDOG PRIDE FUND at Fresno State ESTABLISHES TWO NEW AWARDS: Bulldog Pride Fund: Larry Newsome Theatre Arts Award AND Bulldog Pride Fund: Eartha Kitt Vocal Performance Award. 

(Fresno State) The Bulldog Pride Fund (BPF) is an endowed scholarship established under the auspices of the Fresno State Alumni Association that provides an annuity to support students attending Fresno State.

The BPF is pleased and proud to announce two new annual awards:

• The Bulldog Pride Fund: Larry Newsome Theatre Arts Award of $2,000 per year has been established with $50,000 in new donations to the Bulldog Pride Fund endowment to support outstanding students majoring in any theatre arts discipline. The inaugural scholar will be selected in the spring of 2018 by the Department of Theatre Arts for utilization in the 2018-19 academic year.

• The Bulldog Pride Fund: Eartha Kitt Vocal Performance Award of $2,000 per year has been established with an additional $50,000 in new donations to the Bulldog Pride Fund endowment to support outstanding students majoring in vocal performance. The inaugural scholar will be selected in the spring of 2018 by the Department of Music for utilization in the 2018-19 academic year. 

Since 2006, including the 2017-18 academic year, the BPF has provided 51 scholarships valued at $95,000. As of June 30, 2017; the BPF has raised a total of $465,462 in donations; and the BPF endowment balance, with earnings, is $497,906
