President Joseph I. Castro

Thanks to feedback from community members like you, Fresno State keeps getting better. I get emails asking about safety and parking, and we have recently taken several steps to enhance both.

Campus safety is a priority. We are hiring two additional sworn officers to join the team of 24 in the Fresno State Police Department. They patrol and protect our campus and the surrounding area 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have also upgraded exterior lights to brighter LED ones for pedestrian safety.

We're planning for a new campus shuttle starting in January. It will run in a continuous loop from Campus Pointe via Barstow Avenue, to Millbrook Avenue and Bulldog Lane. We are also working to connect with existing FAX and Clovis Stageline routes.

Your ideas are helping to improve safety and accessibility across campus. Thank you for your active involvement with Fresno State.
