President Joseph I. Castro
One of the values my grandmother instilled in me was the importance of being a good listener. As president of Fresno State, the act of listening has been invaluable.
I’ve just completed my fourth “Community Conversation” of this academic year, where community members in Visalia, Madera, Lemoore and Reedley shared their thoughts and ideas about the University.
They spoke often about their love for Fresno State and are looking to this University to help improve their communities by providing an educated workforce.
We value this feedback and the strategies they shared, and we’re planning our next stops for more Conversations. By listening and partnering with community members like you, I know we can advance our University and our communities to new heights.
