Electronic & Information Technology Accessibility Review

Information Technology Procurement Review (ITPR)

California Government Code Section 11135 and CSU Executive Order 926 require the CSU to purchase Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products and services that conform to the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. The technical standards of Section 508 provide criteria specific to ICT acquisition.

ICT includes information technology and any equipment or interconnected system or subsystem of equipment that is used in the creation, conversion, or duplication of data or information. The term ICT includes, but is not limited to, computers, software, telecommunications products (such as telephones), information kiosks and transaction machines, World Wide Web sites, multimedia, and office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.

All ICT purchases and/or demo's must go through the Information Technology Procurement Review (ITPR) process.  The department Liason will review and approve the ITPR and depending on what the product is, how it will be used and who will use it, may require review and approval for, Technology Services integration, security review, and accessibility review.  Following are ITPR user manuals for both end users and reviewers to assist the processing of an ITPR.
