Barstow Avenue Bikeways Project

The Barstow Avenue Bikeways will provide improved commuter-bicycling access for students, faculty, and staff.  It will also serve as a critical connector between the bikeway systems of Fresno and Clovis.  It will bring bicycle paths on both the north and south sides of Barstow Avenue and Cedar and Willow Avenues.  The bike lanes will give the campus community convenient access without the worry of driving a car, trying to find a parking space, or the cost of a parking permit.  The bikeway will connect with Fresno's Sugar Pine Trail and eventually Clovis's Old Town Trail.  This exciting project will also provide students and faculty with alternative forms of transportation and ease traffic congestion.  The project is scheduled to start in March 2015 for the north side segment between Cedar and Chestnut avenues.
