Fresno State Police Department is actively involved in the education, enforcement, and prevention of Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
What is driving under the influence (DUI)?
According to the State of California: Vehicle Code Section 23152 is driving under the influence, with a blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08 percent or higher.
Our police officers have established relationships with the local law enforcement agencies to aggressively keep impaired drivers off the road and arrest those who chose to drink and drive impaired.
Prevention & Education
Our police officers work closely with the Alcohol Safety Committee, which is made up of students, faculty, and staff from the university, community members, and local law enforcement agencies. This committee meets monthly to discuss prevention and educational methods targeting Fresno State students.
