Director of Organizational Excellence and Administrative Operations
Kathleen oversees organizational and professional development programs designed to nurture a culture of change and innovation and build organizational and individual capacities with the Fresno State community. Kathleen’s higher education career includes roles in Training and Development, Advancement, Marketing, Public Relations, Enrollment and Project Management. She worked for ten years in Community Colleges in New Jersey and Nebraska before coming to Fresno State in 2012. She also has extensive experience in fundraising, marketing and non-profit administration. Kathleen is a certified Change Management Practitioner and Trainer and certified in integrated planning by the Society for College and University Planning. Kathleen earned an MBA from Fresno State and a BS in Marketing from Fairfield University. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Network for Change and Continuous Innovation (NCCI).
Administrative Support Coordinator
Katie Williamson is an alumnus of Fresno State, where she received
an M.A. in Kinesiology – Sport Psychology and a B.A. in Psychology, with a Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. She was awarded the Graduate Dean’s Medal for the College of Health and Human Services, and the Graduate President’s Scholarship, and was awarded the Smittcamp Family Honors scholarship as an undergraduate. Katie's areas of research and interest include: developing effective worksite wellness programs, overcoming barriers to exercise, and obesity; she has worked as a behavior therapist for overweight and obese teens, a personal weight-loss coach, activities coordinator, and a wellness instructor for the Fresno Rescue Mission. Katie also serves as Chair of both the Staff Assembly Executive Committee and the STAR Day Committee, participated as a team facilitator in the first CAIFE program, plays an active role on a number of other committees on campus, and delivers workshops on stress management, team building, developing resiliency, and Real Colors training.
