Payroll Services

Payroll Services is responsible for providing accurate and timely payments to State employees of California State University, Fresno.  We work under the authority of the Chancellor and under the direction of the Controller of the State of California.  We serve greater than 3,000 full- and part-time faculty, staff, and student employees. 

Our responsibilities span all functions related to pay and other benefits.  Besides administering pay transactions, we maintain the employment roster, process court-assigned deductions, report leave usage and balances, and enable various disability pay processes. 

Our business hours are:

  • During Fall and Spring semesters: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
  • Summer: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

NEW SERVICE FOR CSU EMPLOYEES!

In 2020, the State Controller's Office discontinued printing Direct Deposit statements due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to continue providing quick access to payroll related documents, the SCO rolled out Cal Employee Connect to all CSU employees - both past and present.

e sure to have a previous pay stub available. If you do not have a physical stub, you can access your pay check history on the MyFresnoState Employee Self Service portal. Information from your pay stub is required to sign up. For additional instructions, please view our guide.
