Meet the Team
Katherine Williamson is an alumnus of Fresno State, where she received
an M.A. in Kinesiology – Sport Psychology and a B.A. in Psychology, with a Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. She was awarded the Graduate Dean’s Medal for the College of Health and Human Services, and the Graduate President’s Scholarship, and was awarded the Smittcamp Family Honors scholarship as an undergraduate. Katherine’s areas of research and interest include: developing effective worksite wellness programs, overcoming barriers to exercise, and obesity; Katherine has worked as a behavior therapist for overweight and obese teens, a personal weight-loss coach, activities coordinator, and a wellness instructor for the Fresno Rescue Mission. Katherine’s current projects include researching an effective multi-dimensional model of holistic wellness and professional development for higher education, as well as publishing her LiveWELL wellness program.
Administrative Support Assistant
Ashley Gardea earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from California State University, Fresno. She is continuing her studies at Fresno State and is presently working on her M.A. in Kinesiology-Sport Psychology. Ashley has several years experience as an aquatic instructor and swim coach at a competitive level. She focuses on technique and cardiovascular improvement while paying special attention to injury prevention. Ashley strives to promote health and wellness in the workplace by demonstrating fitness within her aquatic classes here at Fresno State.
