Housing Authorities City and County of Fresno
The Housing Authority is a combined agency for both the City and County of Fresno. This site provides a significant amount of information about these opportunities. Housing workshops are offered periodically.

Homeownership Education & Counseling (HEC) Class
The class consists of two sessions. One session covers the entire home buying process from the beginning to end. Fresno Housing Authority and real estate industry professions cover topics such as: Real Estate transactions, Credit & Credit Repair, Budgeting, Down Payment Assistance Programs, Mortgage Options, Home Insurance, Escrow & Title, Property Inspection, Solar Programs, Fair Housing, etc. Second session provides hand-on training in and Home Repair/Maintenance. Classes are offered in Spanish and English on first and second Saturdays of the month from 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Foreclosure Prevention/Loss Mitigation Workshop
The focus of the workshop is to educate struggling homeowners on resolving difficult loan situations and avoiding foreclosure. The workshop requires families to bring documentation of their income, expenses, debts, mortgage loan, and prepares them to effectively work one-on-one with a housing counselor, and ultimately with their lender.

Classes are offered on Wednesdays at 5:30pm - 8:00pm.

For Madera

Classes are offered on Tuesday at 5:30pm - 8:00pm.
