Insurance Requirements

FOR VENDORS AND/OR GROUPS FOR EVENTS THEY ARE HOSTING OR SPONSORING ON CAMPUS


Insurance Certificates
Insurance certificates must be provided to Risk Management for events on campus that are hosted or sponsored by outside groups. The certificate of insurance must be on a standard insurance form with the appropriate coverage requirements.

  • Liability limits must follow CSU requirements
  • Insurers A.M. Best rating must follow CSU requirements

There must also be an Additional Insured Endorsement for the duration and purpose of the event(s) being held with wording stated below to include the specific California State University entities as follows:

"the California State University, Fresno; the California State University, Fresno Foundation, Inc.; the California State University, Fresno Association, Inc; the California State University, Fresno Athletic Corporation, Inc.; the Board of Trustees of the California State University; the State of California; and all their employees, officers, agents and assigns"

Release and Waivers
There may be some activities that are part of your event for which you may want a signed release by the participants. We suggest you contact our office to discuss the activity and the type of release or waiver you may want or need participants to sign.
