A Message from the President
The time has come for us to prepare for WASC re-accreditation. This process is very important to us. The accreditation process allows us to step back and assess the progress we have made and to identify issues which we should address in order to improve student learning. The process has proved to be very valuable to our self improvement efforts in the past.
Accreditation ensures to the public that our institution’s academic programs meet nationally recognized standards of quality. In addition, regional accreditation is required for our students to qualify for participation in federal financial aid programs.
I deeply appreciate the time that the committee is devoting to this effort. I ask the entire University community to help as much as possible.
