Temporary Housing

If you need temporary housing while you look for a permanent place, please utilized the internet by performing a search for hotels in Fresno, California near Fresno State. Our address is 5150 N. Maple Avenue, Fresno CA, 93740.

Two temporary accommodations near Fresno State include: 

University Inn Hotel and University Square Hotel 

 

Airport Hotel

If you did not make any prior accommodation arrangements or airport pick up, there is a Holiday Inn directly across from Yosemite International Airport where you can stay overnight. They will bring you to campus the next day.

You must tell them you are a Fresno State International Student in order to receive the special discounted rate, click here for more information and to make reservation.

On-Campus Living

If you wish to live on campus, visit http://www.universitycourtyard.org/ for options, costs, and how to apply. If you have questions about on-campus living, please contact housing@csufresno.edu.

For students living on campus during the spring 2015 semester, once you book your plane tickets, please contact the University Courtyard at housing@csufresno.edu to inform them of your arrival date and confirm your room availability. 

If you are arriving before January 8th, please fill out the Early Arrival Form and submit it back to the Housing Office.


Off-Campus Living

If you plan to live off-campus, it will be your responsibility to find housing. Please utilized the internet by performing a search for apartments in Fresno, California near Fresno State.

It may be best to first stay at a temporary location until you can physically see where you will be living. Understand that once a lease is signed you are legally responsible for the payment. To find out more about temporary stay, please see Temporary Housing

Health Immunizations

Students that plan to attend CSU, Fresno are required to have a T-spot or Quantiferon blood test within three (3) months of the first semester start date.

If you have your blood test done in your home country, thisTB Blood Test Verification Form should be completed by your health care provider and brought to U.S.

As part of the Check-In process, you will need to present this form, including any attachment(s) from your health care provider to the campus Health Center.

If you have your blood test done at the Fresno State Health Center after your arrival to U.S., there will be a $57.00 (USD) fee.
