Getting to Fresno State
If your final destination is the Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), the readily available transportation from the airport to your destination (dormitory/apartment/friend’s house) is taking a taxi (cab) outside the airport.
Make sure you have cash (about $30) for the cab and the address to your destination
on you. If you are staying at an apartment, make prior arrangement with the apartment
manager to meet you within one or two hours of your arrival at FAT to check you into
the apartment. If you arrive after office hours, you may need to check into a hotel
to spend the night. See this links for hotel choices that are close to Fresno State:
University Square Hotel (5- minute walk to campus)
University Inn (5 - minute walk to campus)
Holiday Inn Express (30 -minute walk to campus)
If you are arriving at FAT between 01/02/18 (Tuesday) – 01/08/17 (Monday) and are in need of airport pickup, please fill out THIS FORM prior to 01/01/2018. You will receive confirmation of your pick up via email prior to your arrival. If you are arriving outside the pick-up period or at an alternative location, you must make your own transportation arrangements to Fresno.
Airport pick up is a FREE service offered by International Student Services & Programs (ISSP). ISSP team and student drivers want to welcome you and give you support!
In situations such as unexpected schedule changes and failure to connect with you, free pick up service may not be available to you. In such situations, please use the taxi service to reach your destination. You will be financially responsible for any transportation costs.
