Complete the Intent to Apply Form 

Sponsors view institutional support as critical to the successful completion of a grant. Reviewers frequently read proposal narratives for evidence of institutional support.  Some sponsors even include a direct requirement for documentation of institutional support within the grant application.  This assures the external sponsor that individual grant applicants have secured the necessary support for their projects.

To facilitate this process, the Division of Research and Graduate Studies (DRGS) has developed the “Intent to Apply” form aimed to open up early discussions among the grant applicant, Chairs or Deans, and DRGS about an upcoming grant application.

The goal is to support the development of the grant as much as possible by giving adequate advanced notice. We need you to complete, obtain signatures, and submit this form to the DRGS one month prior to the submission deadline for the grant.
