Blackboard is a Web-based course-management system designed to allow students and faculty to participate in classes delivered online or use online materials and activities to enhance face-to-face courses. Fresno State is currently using Blackboard version 9.1 in a hosted environment.
Blackboard offers instructors with a way to provide their students with course materials, discussion boards, virtual chats, online quizzes, and more. The degree to which Blackboard is used in courses varies. For example, some instructors may only put their syllabus and handouts online while other instructors may teach their courses fully online.
