In 2011, a comprehensive revision of led to the "CSU's Resource Guide for Managing Risk In Service-Learning." The guide was not created to hinder the service-learning work in the CSU but rather to provide resources that allow campuses and faculty members to manage the risk to the university, the community partner, the faculty and the student.
