Scholars in Service

The Scholars in Service (SIS) Program launched in the fall of 2012. This program provides eligible students with an opportunity to enhance their academic study with community service experiences related to their academic major and/or prospective career. In order to be eligible, students must have a 3.5 GPA or above, have an unmet financial aid need of at least $2,000, and demonstrate the learning they gain from a community service experience through a credit-bearing course. If selected for the program, students must complete 90 hours of service per semester with an approved service site and will earn a $1,000 grant each semester. This program is administered by the Jan & Bud Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning.

Limited positions are available for the Spring 2014 semester.  Visit this webpage to learn more about program eligibility and requirements, to view job descriptions, and to apply.
