We are in the process of planning Alternative Break projects for Spring 2020 and will start recruitment at the beginning of the spring semester.  In the mean time, review the information below on past projects for examples of the types of service experiences that have been available to students.

Merced Trail Restoration

Dates: April 13 - 15, 2019

Spend three days during the 2019 spring break hiking and camping in Yosemite National Park and Sierra National Forest! Our team will work under the guidance of experts from the Upper Merced River Watershed Council as we restore sections of the river trail.  This will be a physically challenging, but rewarding Alternative Spring Break service project.

No experience is needed, but you will need to be physically fit, including the ability to backpack several miles and use hand tools as we work to improve sections of the trail.

Cost: We expect to cover most or all of the necessary expenses.  However, you may need to purchase a few personal items which will be discussed well in advance of the trip.
