The Adjusting Budget Journal (ABJ) form is used to transfer General Fund Revenues and/or Expenditures between Accounts, Org ID's, or Projects. The ABJ form is located on Informed Filler.

The Phase 1 Budgeting Process is used to update how departments wish to budget their salary and wage resources for the coming year. Once they have established a budgeting level (i.e. Appointment, Pool, etc.) this level of budgeting will remain for the entire year.

This document is a fictitious example that has been posted in order to demonstrate the Phase I process. - Phase II: Budgeting/Level B
Once the Governor has signed and approved the final State Budget for the current fiscal year, the Level A Final Budget Allocations are finalized and distributed to all campus divisions. A deadline is established for the return of balanced budgets from each division as requested to the Office of Budget and Treasury Management. This process establishes the "Original" or "Initial" Budget for all divisions/departments on campus. This process is also known as Phase II.

Project Codes are used to identify a specific project, activity or task that has a specific time frame. A project is defined as something that has plan or specific outcome for which steps or tasks are defined and a budget has been established or there is a need to collect costs. The time frame may be from one month to ten years.
